Training Schedule
The club spreads training over 3 nights a week. Mondays are aimed at beginners/slightly slower runners, with various distances and speeds of run available. Tuesdays are suitable for all, as there are also different distances and speeds on offer, with the main emphasis being on steady running. There is also a development group to help people make the transition from Monday nights to the main club night of Tuesday. Thursdays consist of more focussed training, with a 5K handicap race organised every month for any club member who wishes to compete. There is also a session of hillwork every month. The other weeks have 2 sessions on offer - 1 on the track for those wishing to progress their running by working on specific intervals and an alternative "speedplay" session for those that do not feel that trackwork would be of benefit to them.
