  • 2012 Cross Country Champions

    Congratulations to the 2012 DRC Cross Country Champions Jo Zakrzewski and David Parrish, and to runners-up Susan Gallagher and Alan Baxter.

Handicap Series

The second race of the 2012 series took place at the Crichton on the 2nd February with a fine participation of 30 runners. The handicap winner was Michelle McCrindle (with an improvement of over 2 minutes from January) and the fastest on the night was Kevin Conchar (in 17:52), while Libby Jardine retains the overall lead with another improvement of over a minute. Full results are available in the link below (as are those for earlier years in their corresponding links):

Netherhall 10 Mile Race

Just a quick reminder that Sunday February 26th is the first race of the 2012 Grand Prix season. The Netherhall 10 mile race starts (at 11am) and finishes near Maryport, where there are showers and a post-race buffet. A bus has been booked and will leave Nunholm at 8am and return at about 4pm. The bus is now full - please see forum for more details. The committee would like to remind all runners that in order to obtain GP points for this race, a club vest must be worn - kit can be ordered by contacting: kit@dumfriesrunningclub.org.uk

On Sunday February 12th, Susan Gallagher raced the Meon Valley Plod in Hampshire. The 21 (or so) mile race, organised by the Portsmouth Joggers takes competitors up and down the hills of the South Downs. Susan survived to report on the race.....
