Muckletoon Doctors' Run
Although the ladies' field was depleted by the Glasgow 10K, the Dumfries Running Club men still turned out in force for this multiterrain race at Langholm which is just short of 8 miles. First home for the club (and showing his fine form in short races with his 3rd strong race of the week) was Alan Baxter finishing in 5th position in a time of 48.09, with new club member Ranjit Thomas taking home the first male doctor's trophy in a time of 52.28. Holywood Stroll
On what turned out to be a lovely summer evening, there was a record turnout for the 2012 running of the 5 mile Holywood Stroll. The race was won easily by Mickey Breen of Costorphine AAC in 25:48 and Lisa Finlay of Dumfries Running Club in 30:03. Chris Wood had a fantastic run to finish as first DRC runner in 27.57, with 18 year old Alasdair Stapleton as the first under 20 in 30:04...
