Portobello Promathon

Steven and Allie kick off 2012 with a (fast) stroll along the Prom....
On January 1st, whilst some were still nursing sore heads, there were two dedicated runners from the club who ran the annual Portobello Promathon, a 4 mile race along the seafront with a straight forward out and back route. Steven Smith and Allie Wilson started the New Year race along with almost 400 others, a record field for the event. Steven paced himself well and finished in a swift 22:25 with Allie coming home in 27:16. Both club members were fighting it out with some real speed demons, but the friendly atmosphere and support on the prom from bystanders was encouraging enough for them to come away with their quick times.
