Leyland Boxing Day 10k
Les finishes off his racing year with a run at the Leyland 10k...
On Boxing Day, in what he claims will be his last race of 2011, Les Hill prised himself away from the fireside to take part in the Leyland 10k. Unlike last year, when the race fell victim to snow and ice, this time around the conditions were dry and mild. However it was very windy and combined with the undulating nature of the course, this meant that there was little chance of fast times being produced from the 197 runners who took part in the event. As is customary for him, Les started steadily and worked his way through the field, to finish in 37th place in a time of 41:02.
