Leeds Abbey Dash 10Km
In a stark contrast to the bright and sunny day experienced by the runners at Brampton, the 6500 competitors who lined up for the Leeds Abbey Dash 10Km on Sunday morning were greeted by cold and foggy conditions.
However the chilly weather did not deter the front runners from producing some blistering performances. Jo Zakrzewski had a fantastic race to finish in 3rd place in a very high calibre field and in doing so lowered her best time for the distance by a huge margin. Jo's new PB now stands at 35.16 and eclipses her previous time set only two weeks ago at Stranraer by over a minute. The accompanying photo shows Jo with race winner Susan Partridge (centre) and 2nd placed Helen Singleton.
