Great new PB for Adam
On Sunday 30th October, Adam Dickie headed east to the borders for the 10th annual Jedburgh half marathon.
With a 10k also being run at the same time over 900 runners set off on what was a dry, cool day. The route was essentially an out an back course with relatively little climbing until the 10th mile. Adam started well, keeping up a steady pace and at the 10 mile mark was feeling very comfortable despite a headwind trying to put a spanner in the works. Then came the only real hill of the day, a 1/2 mile climb that ate into his reserves leaving him working hard to hang on till the finish, grateful to cross the line with a new pb of 84 mins 45secs, finishing 23rd out of 557 competitors.
